I am delighted to share that the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) has been ranked among the top 1201–1500 universities worldwide in the World University Rankings 2025 by Times Higher Education (THE). BUITEMS is the only university in Balochistan to achieve this milestone.
Times Higher Education
BUITEMS has also been ranked among the top 1001-1500 universities in the SDG Impact Rankings by Times Higher Education during 2024 with few universities in Pakistan ranked (Top universities pursuing sustainable development goals in 2024). On fact BUITEMS is only one of the 16 universities in the world, and only Pakistani university who is given a Hub Status for SDG 8 ( Decent Work and Economic Growth).
These are remarkable achievements for a young university like BUITEMS, and a testament to the collective efforts of our faculty, staff, and students. Our rankings reflect BUITEMS' growing prominence in International Outlook and Research Quality, further highlighting our continuous pursuit of excellence in education and research.
Here are some key highlights:
Global Ranking: 1201–1500
National Ranking: 35th among institutions in Pakistan
Best Pillar Performance: International Outlook
Key Metrics: Research citations, international collaboration, and industry engagement.
These results are very welcomed as we are celebrating our 22 years of existence, and an affirmation of the quality of education, research, and international partnerships at BUITEMS. We believe that we are the youngest university who has achieved this ranking in the world. Let us continue to build on this success, and work hard in delivering quality education in class room, conducting impactful research, publishing research in peer reviewed top journals, and making contribution in the community services. We aim to elevate BUITEMS' global standing in the top 600 universities in the world.
