The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSS&H) at BUITEMS organized a 2-day conference on Geopolitics from Below from August 28-29, 2024. The conference brought together scholars, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the geopolitical dynamics from a grassroots perspective, focusing on local and regional contexts.
The conference featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, and presentations from renowned experts in the fields of geopolitics, international relations, and sociology. The participants examined how geopolitical decisions impact local communities and explored ways to include marginalized voices in political dialogue.
The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, who emphasized the importance of such conferences in fostering critical thinking and generating knowledge that informs policy-making. The conference attracted national and international participants and provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
